2021 Mayor's Christmas Tree Festive Friends Penguins

This commemorative ornament, 41st in series, began as one of the tallest Christmas trees in the nation. The 100-foot Douglas fir was a gift to Kansas City from Cascade Timber Consulting, Inc. in Oregon. The tree traveled more than 1,500 miles through six states to Kansas City, where it became the 2020 Mayor's Christmas Tree. After the holidays, the tree is cut into lumber and made into ornaments designed by Hallmark artists.
