Ambassador Ornaments

The Holiday House Collection of ornaments was created by Hallmark for distribution through its subsidiary, Ambassador Cards, in Woolworth's, Ben Franklin, Card Shops, supermarkets and drugstores from 1979 through 1982. The very rare Ambassador test ornaments distributed in 1979 were almost exclusively repackaged ornaments from Hallmark's regular ornament line.  The only way to tell that some of these ornaments are from the Ambassador line is if the ornament is still in the Ambassador box, otherwise they would be considered a no box Hallmark ornament. The rare 1979 packaging increases the value greatly. Designs in 1980-1982 were exclusive to the Ambassador line, and were not a part of Hallmark's regular line.
